Revision as of 16:15, 28 August 2013
Bloodborne Pathogens, Sexual Harassment, and Bullying are required courses for ALL Longview ISD employees.
Auxiliary Employees
Cafeteria, Custodial, Maintenance and Transportation employees: Supervisors will schedule and present videos covering all training to their respective employees.
Auxiliary employees should consult their supervisor for information about these required training sessions.
ALL Other Employees
For the 2013-2014 school year LISD is using Region VII as the provider for this required training. The training is online through a third party called “Etrain”.
- All employees must have a login account with Region VII.
- All employees must register through Region VII for each of the required courses separately.
- These courses are available 24/7 online through Etrain Advantage.
- There are no follow-up or reflection questions to be answered; you simply watch the videos and then certify that you have watched them.
- Each staff person must log in, register and watch the videos individually in order to receive credit.
- Staff must complete the training during the month in which you register for the training. So, if you register for a training during August, you must take the training during August. If you do not complete the training during the month in which you register, you must re-register for the training the following month and complete the training during that month.
- Be sure to select the appropriate Sexual Harassment course. For example, Supervisors should register for the course labeled Sexual Harassment training for Supervisors. other professional employees should register for the course labeled Sexual Harassment for Certified Employees.
- The use of headphones or earbuds may be necessary to prevent disrupting others if viewing courses in a computer lab.
Time required to complete each course
- Bloodborne Pathogens - approximately 30 minutes
- Sexual Harassment - approximately 45 minutes - 1 hour
- Bullying - approximately 40 minutes
