Make a Phone Call:
You are probably only asking how to make a phone call if you have a phone that four digit dials!
The answer is simple. Put a 9 in front of any "regular" number you want to dial.
If the number you want is (903) 555-1212 then you would dial 9 9 0 3 5 5 5 1 2 1 2. It is that simple!
If your phone is a four digit extension, and you are calling someone with a four digit extension, just dial the four digits even if the prefix is different.
Prefix? What? All (903) 381-XXXX, (903) 446-XXXX, and (903) 663-7XXX LISD numbers have four digit extensions (that is the XXXX part).
When you are four digit dialing, just ignore the fact that the prefix (The 903, 381, 446, and 663 parts) are different!
The Technology Help Desk's full telephone number is (903) 446-2400, but if you are on a standard Longview ISD telephone, you can just dial 2 4 0 0 to get a friendly voice!
Make a Long Distance Telephone Call:
Just like any other! On phone systems with two digit extension, dial 1 + your number. On a phone system with four digit extensions, dial 9 + 1 + your number.
It doesn't work! It might not. Long distance is not available on all telephones. If your phone does not let you make a long distance call, please ask to use one of the office phones.
