ALL Other Employees
For the 2015 - 2016 school year LISD is using Region VII as the provider for this required training.
- All employees must have a login account with Region VII.
- All employees must register through Region VII for each of the required courses separately.
- Important: if your Region VII account is listed under a school district other than Longview ISD you need to call Yvonne Jones at Region VII (903-988-6842) and get this changed before you complete the trainings. Otherwise your completion records will not show up on the Longview ISD report and you may not receive credit.
- These courses are available 24/7 online through Etrain Advantage.
- There are no follow-up or reflection questions to be answered; you simply watch the videos and then certify that you have watched them.
- Each staff person must log in, register and watch the videos individually in order to receive credit unless otherwise instructed by your supervisor.
- Principals and/or Supervisors may choose to arrange for a group viewing of these required training videos.
- The administrator in charge of the group registers, prior to the group meeting, for each of the required training courses.
- The administrator prepares a sign-in sheet for the group meeting.
- Each person in attendance must be sure to sign-in
- Staff must complete the training during the month in which you register for the training. So, if you register for a training during August, you must take the training during August. If you do not complete the training during the month in which you register, you must re-register for the training the following month and complete the training during that month.
- The use of headphones or earbuds may be necessary to prevent disrupting others if viewing courses in a computer lab.

After you have registered for each course, the Region VII System will send you an email (possibly from Katie Chenoweth) with the link to login to the course.
- Click on the link in your email. This will take you to a web page labeled "Welcome to Online Learning from Region 7 ESC!".
- Locate the Login button in the very top right-hand corner of the web page.
- Click Login

- Watch this first video.
- Complete all parts of the course in consecutive order. Complete all sections. After completion of the last section, a link to a certificate will appear. Click the link to view and print your certification. The district will receive a report from Region VII with all completed certifications. There is no need for you to send the central office a copy of your certification.
I didn't finish watching a video. Can I go back and finish?
A video must be watched through to the end at one sitting. You cannot start watching a video, stop it, leave the course, then come back into the course and that same video, forward the video to the place where you left off and continue watching to the end. If you do the system may not recognize that you actually watched this video and are ready to move on to the next section/video.
Completion Certificate
Each course consists of several parts. After completing each training course the system will supply you with a Completion Statement when you confirm you have completed the training by clicking the box provided. The system will send you to the Completion Certificate to print or save for your personal use. If the link to the Completion Statement does not appear, click on My Courses on the left side of the screen then click on the training you just completed. The link to the certificate should be listed.
There is no need to send a copy of your certificate to the ESC. Region VII will supply the district with a report documenting your completion.
